Israeli forces raided the village of Far'un, south of Tulkarm, on Tuesday, 27 October, and ordered Abdul Fattah Hussein Awad, his son Sameh and their families out of their homes, WAFA reported. The houses were turned into military barracks, and the families were told they could not return until Wednesday morning.
Troops deployed heavily across the village, near the separation wall, among homes and close to the girls' school. Forces also raided the nearby Irtah suburb, patrolled its streets and took up positions on Old Mosque Street, threatening residents and barring them from approaching.
WAFA reported similar seizures of homes for military use in Ramallah-area villages on 26 and 27 October, while in Hebron the Prisoners' Society said dozens of houses had been turned into field interrogation centres since the closure began. No Israeli comment was reported.
