Twelve communities in Masafer Yatta, in the South Hebron Hills, were cut off for several days during the Hebron closure, leaving about 50 teachers unable to reach their schools, Al Jazeera reported. Roads in Bethlehem governorate were also closed for days, according to WAFA.
In Wadi al-Rakheem, in Masafer Yatta, the Yusuf Shanaran family told Al Jazeera on Monday that settlers had kept their home under siege for three weeks. Two Palestinians were also hurt in a settler attack near as-Samu, south of Hebron, on Monday, WAFA reported, one of them a 58-year-old woman beaten in the chest.
Further north, the village of Madama, south of Nablus, was emerging from a two-week closure of its four entrances, villagers said, with heavy restrictions still in place at the reopened northern road. A bulldozer uprooted hundreds of olive trees there, according to residents.
